Lions Club Competition

Each year Lions Clubs around the world hold an arts contest to encourage young people to express their visions of peace. The theme of the 2016-17 Peace Poster Contest was "A Celebration of Peace”

Year 8 pupils entered the competition and we are proud to announce that Amelia Cross’s poster of a “Dove with Fireworks”, has been chosen as the overall winner in the South West Region  - many congratulations to Amelia. Well done to the runners up: 2nd Jack Busby and 3rd Ruby Clayton–Webber.  Below is Amelia's winning poster.

Swimming Gala

There were approximately 200 swimmers competing, at Oxley Sports Centre, yesterday for a place in the South West team (to compete in the National ISA Swimming Championships at the London Aquatics Centre on Saturday 21st January.   The Park School was represented by 27 pupils. 

Individual winners were Catherine Maggs, Patrick Maggs, Abbie White and Iris Dobrescu. We may have more swimmers selected to be in the relay teams, depending on heat times.

Tudor Blind Date

History came to life today for Year 8 as Elizabeth I (aka Mrs Richards) and her lady–in-waiting (Lady Ruby) were visited by suitors from far and wide.  King Philip II of Spain, Lord Robert Dudley, Robert Devereux, Prince Eric of Swedan, the Duke of Alencon, William of Orange and Archduke Charles of Austria plus their Ambassadors  were all amongst those bearing gifts, songs and poems!

Remembrance Sunday

Our boarders took part in the Town’s Remembrance Sunday Ceremony where Head Boy, Callum and Head Girl, Elena presented a wreath on behalf of all at The Park.
