Guest Speaker enthralls Seniors
This week we were incredibly fortunate to have George Rawlings (father of Henny in Y3) come in to talk to some of our senior school students about his work for the United Nations.
George talked about his time in Afghanistan and about how he helped with the setting up of democratic elections there.
George had the students enthralled with his stories (including an attempt to try to bribe him !). Demonstrating his passion for the Afghan people he took the students through a slideshow of some of the photos he took while in Afghanistan. It was thought provoking.
Our students were engaged participants in the discussion and asked some insightful questions. George said that the students were “immaculately behaved and great ambassadors for The Park School”.
