Sixth Form (Ages 16+)
From September 2018 the Sixth Form will follow the rest of the Senior School with a move to the Chilton Cantelo site.
Sixth Form students are given more freedom and greater responsibilities and by becoming prefects they can play an active part in the management of the School. Students develop the skills of independent learning, whilst benefiting from the professional and personal support that is only possible in a small Sixth Form.
We teach the traditional subjects favoured at A Level by the top universities and we begin the application process early. Students are guided through the university admissions procedure to ensure that their endeavours are rewarded with entry to the course of their choice.
Subjects on offer in the Sixth Form:
- Art and Design (Fine Art or Textiles)
- BTEC Sport
- Computer Science
- Business Studies
- English Literature
- Mathematics / Further Mathematics
- Modern Foreign Languages
- Religious Studies
How to apply
Students are required to have achieved at least 5 A* - C Grades to qualify for entry to study A Levels in the Sixth Form, with B grades in the subjects to be taken for A Levels.
There is no formal school entrance examination, but those with high academic potential are invited to sit a Scholarship Award exam in the December prior to entry. The exams are taken in two subjects which will be studied at A level. Application forms for Scholarship Awards can be obtained from the school office. Please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
