Parent Teacher Association

About Us:

The Park School is proud to have an active Parent/Teachers Association.  The Association organises a number of events during the year to provide parents, pupils, staff and friends of the school with an opportunity to meet, socialise and have some fun. Our aim is to promote friendship and fellowship between all associated with the school.  We also raise funds, which are used to benefit the pupils and help enrich their education.  Over the years the PTA has provided the school with a wide and diverse range of equipment.  Examples of recent purchases include a CD player for Drama, projector for Science Department, squash equipment, volleyball nets, weather instruments for Geography, drying racks for artwork, junior activity bags and library books.

If you have a child at the school you are automatically a member of the PTA.  The committee meets at the school usually twice a term, on Mondays between 4pm and 5pm.  New faces and fresh ideas are always welcome.  If you are unable to make the meetings and have ideas to share or would like to be involved in any way, please contact one of the committee as detailed at the bottom of this page.

Following its AGM on Monday 22nd September the PTA would like to thank everyone for their continued support.

In the last year all our events have been well supported and this has enabled us to purchase many items for the school; a mobile cooker, computer tables for the infants, audio visual equipment for the language dept, a DVD camcorder, a digital camera for the food tech dept, sunshades for the playground (!) and the Junior school library project were our main purchases this year.

At the AGM the following were elected as Officers and Committee for the present academic year;

Committee members are; Diane Dryden, Sally Nash and Jackie Unsworth.

WORLD BOOK DAY CELEBRATIONS were held on March 10th - a full report with pictures can be found in the News pages which can be found on the News page.

SUMMER BBQ FRIDAY 3RD JULY 6.00 P.M.
This year's BBQ is shaping up to be the best yet!  We have BBQ, Bar, Hog Roast, Stalls, Tug of War, Stocks, Human Fruit Machine, fun and games for everyone.  Family admission tickets £2 (£3 on the night) are now available from Dan in the Junior playground and Donna in the Uniform Shop.  Please come along to a fun social event which will also support your PTA.  This is a WHOLE school event so please feel free to bring family and friends – the more the merrier!!
