STAFF LEAVING At the end of the summer term we will be saying goodbye to Miss Amy Millican and Mrs Caroline Maggs. We are sorry to see them leave and we wish them all the very best in the future. We will be particularly thinking of Miss Millican on the 11th August on the occasion of her marriage to Neil.
NEW STAFF We are very glad to welcome Mr Paul Evans who is to be our new Head of English and Mrs Melanie Gifford who is to be our new Year 1 teacher. Mr Patrick Killoran is also joining us to take over from Mr Michael Peevor who will be retiring at the end of the autumn term. Mr Killoran will be 'learning the ropes' from Mr Peevor over the next four months.
JUNIOR PRIZEGIVING We would like to remind parents that it is the Junior Prizegiving on Thursday 12th July at 2 p.m. We do hope that you will be able to join us. We do hope that as many parents as possible will be able to attend, what is always a splendid occasion.
FABULOUS PHOTOS READY The photographs taken at The Prom are now ready. There are 59 photographs on one CD for the very reasonable price of £2. The proceeds will be given to The Lord's Larder in Yeovil. So get your CD now and help support charity at the same time. Please see Mr Ennals for a copy of the CD. |
TWELFTH NIGHT The weather has defeated us! We feel it would be prudent to perform Twelfth Night inside. The performance will be held on both the 10th and 11th July. Doors will open at 18.00 and the performance will commence at 19.30 After the play there will be live music, so please do not feel that you must rush off! Tickets will be £5 each and can be bought on the night or in advance from the office. Thank you.
INSPECTION REPORT I have received a letter from the Department for Education indicating that the school have met all the regulatory standards and they are not requiring any action plan as had been requested by the Independent Schools Inspection Service. The majority of schools normally have to draft out an action plan post inspection, and only on rare occasions do they waive the need for this. We are of course extremely pleased to receive this clean 'bill of health' and that the DFE are delighted with our excellent report. I am sure that parents are also very pleased too. P Bate
FAMILY FUN EVENING This was a great success, the weather held and a wonderful time was had by all. Many thanks to all who helped and supported this event, an early estimate shows we have made nearly £300.
