OPEN DAY Our next Open Day is on Tuesday 20th May. Please tell your friends and relations about this date. The Headmaster will give talks at 10.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. A warm welcome is extended to all those who wish to attend.
MASKED BALL – FRIDAY 20TH JUNE The end of the school year celebration will take a new theme this year of the "masked ball". We thought it would be a fun idea and create a different alternative to the previous prom. The Ball will take place at The Ivel Barbarians Rugby Club, Yeovil, and will begin at 7.00 – 7.30 p.m. and finish at 11.00 p.m. Invitations are open to all Year 10,11, 12 and 13 pupils. Pupils may also bring a partner to accompany them. There will be a buffet and a disco with a DJ. Tickets are £18. A letter will be going out to the relevant forms next week, confirming these details. SPORTS INFORMATION Reports for all matches this week and fixtures for next week can be found on the school website under "EVENTS". Highlights of the WeekFri 9th – u9 cricket team won by one run. Sat 10th – Hannah Forrest won two County titles. ART GCSE DEADLINES AND FINAL SHOW FOR YEAR 11 The deadline for coursework is Monday 19th May- ready to put up work as a show in the foyer Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd. Sketchbooks may be handed in on Friday 23rd May. All work must be put up as a show by Friday 23rd May, before half term. Work will be marked and moderated after half term. Mrs Briggs
SPONSORED WALK – NCH CHARITYThe Children's NCH Charity Step Out for Children is holding a sponsored walk from Ham Hill Country Park, Midsummers Day on Saturday 21st June, starting at 10.30 a.m. NCH is the leading children's charity working in this country. It is a Methodist Foundation and much of its funding comes from local Methodist Churches and events like this one. As well as helping the Charity, it does promise to be a Fun day. There will be three walks of varying lengths and a picnic lunch at the end. If you are interested please telephone Mrs Wharton 01935 825928 for further details.
