PROMPT SETTLEMENT DISCOUNT

Thank you to all those parents who settled their summer fees on the first day of term and who accordingly were entitled to deduct the 1% prompt settlement discount.  All cheques and online payments received after the first day of term should not have the discount deducted.  For those parents who choose to pay by online banking, it is important to authorise payment not less than 4 complete working days before the start of term, in  order to qualify for the discount.  Where pupils are entrusted to hand payments in to school, please ensure that they deposit them with office staff before the end of school on the first day of term, in order to qualify for the discount. Thank you.

YEAR 9

All parents of Year 9 pupils should now be in possession of a letter and timetable explaining the procedure for the Key Stage 3 Examinations, beginning on Tuesday May 6th.  If any parents have missed out on receiving the letter, which was given to pupils to take home, a copy including the timetable can be found on the website EVENTS page.

REQUEST FOR ACCOMMODATION

We have had a request from a Spanish family for someone to provide accommodation for a boy called Jorge for the last few weeks of the summer term.  He is 14 years old and will probably be in Year 9.  Please get in touch with Mrs Morris if you think you are able to help.

STAFFING

Mr Paul Evans, our Head of English, tended his resignation over the Easter holidays from his post due to personal reasons.  We wish Mr Evans all the very best for his future.  We have now appointed a replacement, and I am pleased to announce that Mr Jonathan Cooke will take over as from the 1st May.  Mr Cooke previously taught for many years at Epsom College and we welcome him to the school.

Mr Bate, Headteacher
