MUFTI DAY/WORLD BOOK DAY 6TH MARCH 2008 The PTA have organised a "Dress Up As A Book Character" competition. Your child may come to school dressed as a book character. Mrs Scannell and Mrs Briggs have kindly agreed to judge the competition, there will be a prize for each year group. Since this is also a mufti day, if your child does not wish to come as a book character, they may come in their ordinary clothes. (The cost will be £1 per child in aid of PTA funds for either 'own' clothes, or dressed as a book character).
BOOK SWAP Juniors The PTA are oganising a book swap. Please let your child bring in any books that are in good condition, but no longer required, and swap them. It's a fun way to encourage reading something different!
Seniors – Yrs 7 & 8 In the spirit of World Book Day, we would invite all Year 7 & 8 pupils to bring in two books they have enjoyed reading and swap by agreement with a classmate. I hope all pupils will take part and help promote a culture of reading at The Park School. Pupils are also invited to bring in a book they have grown out of and donate it to a younger student in the Junior School. Mr P Evans
