YEAR 7

All Year 7 pupils will be taking a baseline test on Monday.  This test is designed to provide us with information on your child's abilities at this stage of his/her education.  No revision is required, the test will take approximately one hour.  For further information contact Mr Ennals.

UNIFORM SHOP

For information, the uniform shop is open from 3 – 4.30 on a Tuesday afternoon.  If you cannot make this time, could you please ring Mrs Maynard after 6.00 p.m. to make an appointment.  Her telephone number is 01935 475092.

CDs of the Prom pictures from last July are still available from Mr Ennals, priced £2.

'THE TEMPEST' PRODUCTION

During the course of the year, pupils in Year 9 will be studying 'The Tempest', in preparation for their KS3 examinations next May.  We have arranged a trip to see a production of the play on 13^th October at the Brewhouse Theatre in Taunton.  The cost of the ticket is around £10, but I will have a clearer idea of the exact cost by next week.

The performance starts at 7.30 and ends at approx 10.15. A letter will be sent out next week with exact times, dates and cost.  Please keep the evening free!

FAMILY QUIZ EVENING

Saturday 6^th October School Hall 7.30 p.m.

Back by popular demand!  Don't miss this entertaining evening hosted by our Quizmaster Mr K Stevens.  An evening comprising of rounds of assorted questions covering topics from pop music, TV Programmes, current affairs and much more!  Suitable for the WHOLE family.  A light ploughman's supper is including in the ticket price.  Please bring your own drinks as desired.

Teams are of up to 6 people, you can always bring two teams or even make up a team on the night.  Please complete the slip below to book your place £3.50 per adult and £1.50 per child.  We all look forward to an enjoyable evening.

MUMS' EVENINGS OUT

This is being arranged by Year 7 mums and Year 9 mums.  We thought it would be a good chance for mums of both new and established pupils to meet up for an informal dinner.

For Year 7's – we are meeting for dinner at ASK, Princes Street, Yeovil 8 p.m. on Wednesday 12^th September, please phone Roxane Pratt (mum to Edward in 7G) on 01458 251291, so that numbers can be confirmed to the restaurant by Sunday 9^th September.

For Year 9's – we are meeting for dinner at Prezzo, Princes Street, Yeovil, at 8 p.m. on Wednesday 19^th September, please phone Amanda Gregory (mum to Hatty in 9G) on 01935 873994, so that numbers can be confirmed to the restaurant, by Sunday 16^th September

'BUGSY MALONE'

There will be a meeting for all students both SENIOR  and JUNIOR pupils wishing to take part in next summer's production of 'Bugsy Malone' between 4.00 – 4.30 next Thursday, 13^th September.  Please make sure you are there!
