THORPE PARK TRIP A big thank you to parents who collected Year 9 early from school following the evacuation of the theme park in the afternoon. Replacement tickets are being issued to Year 9. It has not proved possible to arrange another trip before the Park closes in November. Mrs Gordon and Mrs Wiles
RACE FOR LIFE Year 1 parents and some Junior staff are doing the 5km 'Race for Life' fun run in July in aid of Cancer Research. Anyone wishing to offer their support in the form of sponsorship, please see your child's form teacher or contact the school office. Many thanks.
STUART McINESS Please note that the time for the 'chain to heaven' in memory of Stuart's birthday will now be taking place at 12.00. Pupils will assemble at various locations throughout the school at 11.50. There will also be a gathering at the graveside at 16.30 on Monday afternoon. Parents, pupils and friends are very welcome to attend.
BOARDING - RABBITS & GUINEA PIGS Are you going on holiday and looking for someone to care for your rabbits and guinea pigs? If so, please phone Sam Pratt on 01458 251291, who is offering boarding for rabbits and guinea pigs at a rate of £2.50 per night, with special discounts for longer stays. Your rabbit or guinea pig can stay with Sam in one of the hutches in her garden, or you can bring your own. Runs are provided, as well as bedding and hay. Grooming and claw clipping are included free of charge. Please phone for availability, bookings or more information.

FABULOUS NIGHT AT THE PROM The Park School Prom 2007 was a resounding success. Everyone had a fantastic time. Jenny Dumper was crowned Prom Queen with Mark Jolliffe as Prom King. Many thanks to the Manor Hotel for their superb service and assistance in helping to make the evening a success. A CD with all the photographs taken on the night will be available shortly for a small sum. Thank you to all staff and pupils who helped make my last Prom so enjoyable. Mrs McLaughlin.
TWELFTH NIGHT On 10th or 11th of July (date depending on the weather) the Park School Drama Club will be presenting "Twelfth Night" in the Senior school grounds. Doors open at 6.00 p.m. Champagne cocktails on arrival. Bring your own picnic, enjoy the music, merriment and hilarity of this marvellous production.
INTERHOUSE ART COMPETION Juniors and senior pupils from the four houses across the school created art work in a range of media, including mosaic, collage, 3D, drawing and painting. A local artist, Peter Hailey judged the competition. Overall the results were:- 1st – Shaftesbury – 13 points 2nd – Slessor & Livingstone – 10 points each 3rd – Ashley – 3 points. Peter Hailey was very impressed with the creativity and diversity of the work. Congratulations to the winners and to all who took part and a big thank you to Mrs Briggs , Head of Art, who organized it all.
