Wednesday 23rd June National ISA Athletics Championships As ever, the competition at a National Finals is of an extremely high standard. James Bridge was our first competitor and he jumped very well for a fine 4th place. A couple of hours later he was in action again in the 600m and once more placed 4th. Brother Philip found himself up against boys who were of larger physical stature and ran really well for 5th in the 400m. Both James and Emma Denham helped their relay teams to 5th place, before at 5.45pm after a 4 and a half hour mini bus journey and another 6 hours sitting in the extreme heat Bella Foot ran the 3rd leg in the 100m relay. She received the baton with her team in 6th place and absolutely flew around the bend to hand over in 3rd. The next girl hung on and the bronze medal for the South West region was secured, so a rewarding end to our athletes very long day.
