There have been an increasing number of students arriving at Goldenstones pool on a Wednesday morning without proper swimming kit, or notes to explain why they are unable to take part in the swimming lesson. They have then spent the lesson waiting in the spectator area and, unfortunately, we have experienced some poor behaviour.
The school policy for swimming is that if, for any reason, a student is unable to participate in the swimming lesson, they should go to school and report to Mr Evans who will supervise them until 9.15. At that time students should then report to their form tutor for registration and form period.
I hope that this clarifies the procedure; please could you ensure that if your child is unable to swim they come to school and not the swimming pool. LRTulett Head of PE & Sport
