Year 7 History
Year 7 Historians turned Mrs Richards’ classroom into an Anglo-Saxon settlement when they brought in their models of Anglo-Saxon homes which they had recently created. Mrs Richards was really impressed by the range of styles and building materials which had been used; hay, straw, mud, clay, sticks, card, foam, sand, paper and even fake snow were utilised to add detail and definition to the houses. Several houses even had removable roofs which revealed fire pits, hearths, animals and even people! It was clear a lot of time and effort had gone into these – so a big thank you to all parents and grandparents for their help with these projects.
