Pupils get on the right route!
9th February 2007Year 10 art pupils at The Park School in Yeovil created a range of designs from musical instruments to abstract patterns as part of a competition to design artwork for the outside of a double decker bus. The bus project has been organised by "time out together", a local charity run by Mrs Dana King. Various local schools took part in the competition and two pupils' designs from The Park were chosen. Samya Harris's bold colourful shapes and Charlotte Rowley's delicate patterns are to be used in contrast with each other, and will be sprayed onto the bus by Haydn's Autospray. Then the colourful bus will be used for a range of functions in the heart of the community; it will also visit schools for various projects. There will be a big launch of the bus at Birchfield Community Centre, Yeovil on Thursday 22nd February at 2.00 p.m. and the event is open to the public.
