German Exchange 2007
27th March 2007Our pupils, and their parents, welcomed into their homes young people from Yeovil's twin town Taunusstein, Germany. The visitors all came from The Park's partner school, the IGS Obere Aar School. The link with Obere Aar was initially established through the Yeovil Twinning Association, and has been maintained for the last nine years. Host pupils from The Park were able to return the excellent hospitality experienced during the first part of the exchange in Germany during the Autumn of 2006. During their stay in Yeovil the German students, accompanied by their teachers Frau Annika Scmidt and Frau Marina Voll, have visited Sherborne and Cheddar and taken part in lessons. The week was rounded off with an international skittles match - won this time by England! We are grateful to Mr Winter for all his efforts in making the arrangements for a most successful and enjoyable time.
