Art Exhibition at Sherborne House
9th November 2007Sherborne House Art Exhibition
Our school took part in "Raise" – an art exhibition for 16 year olds at Sherborne House – alongside many other local secondary schools. Mrs Briggs, Head of Art, selected ten pieces of GCSE art and design work from last July's examination entries. These included media in painting, textiles, sculpture and printmaking. The work displayed in galleries, looked outstanding and many visitors attended the exhibition including other school pupils, their parents as well as the general public. The work in the exhibition was described as being of "particularly high quality" this year and the exhibits from The Park School students received many positive comments. There were 100 pieces of art work on display and the exhibition ran for one week and proved to be a very worthwhile and exciting event – particularly for the young artists and designers! The exhibits from The Park School students are shown below together with a picture of Mrs Briggs with the organiser Nina Gronw-Lewis, who is the Education Officer at Sherborne House.
