Geography
6th Form
Students follow a tradition syllabus which examines issues such as flooding, natural hazards and the geography of health – the global distribution of diseases, the spread of diseases such as swine flu and the different types of health care offered on national and local scales.
At both AS and A2 there is a written paper and a skills paper where the students’ own field work is an essential element. This may be a local river or urban study or could be carried out on the sand dunes at Studland. We have even visited Snowdonia to study glaciation or Iceland to study tectonics.
