Key Stage 4

In year 10 pupils engage in self-initiated projects that explore various processes and media across a range of disciplines including fine art, sculpture, textiles and photography. In year 11 pupils will undertake the second year of their G.C.S.E Art and Design following the Edexcel Unendorsed Syllabus. Pupils will be completing and further developing their two coursework projects by building on their technical skills and experimenting further with materials and processes.

Key Stage 3

During key stage 3, pupils explore a variety of art media and engage more specifically with the elements and principles involved in creative processes. Learning at this stage incorporates objective skills on one hand and encourages subjective creativity on the other. Year 9 gives pupils a foundation level exposure to many art disciplines as a taster for GCSE and broader creative endeavours.
