Calculated Success

It was with great pleasure that The Department of Mathematics welcomed three representatives from Casio Electronics to The Park School this week.

The Park is one of the first schools in the UK to be equipped with the flagship fx-CG20 Graphical Calculator

and the team from Casio came to see this fantastic new tool at work in the classroom. Students from Years 9, 10 and 12 have been using these devices to explore the relationships between a range of graphs and their functions.   While our visitors were monitoring the success of the project they took the opportunity to talk with the students about their learning.

The Park has purchased a class set of these cutting edge devices which will be useful in many area of the curriculum. The Mathematics team and Casio will continue to work together with The Park School maintaining its position as a lead user in this area of teaching and learning.
