Chinese Dragons
To celebrate the Chinese New Year Mrs Twist organised a dragon drawing competition and received many colourful and creative original entries.

This made it very difficult for Mr Holbrook and Mrs Twist to choose the winners. In the Junior department, Oliver West, Esmée Williamson, Iris Dobrescu, Ivy Holliday and Roberta Simpson were judged to be the winners, with a special mention for Molly Parsons, Matthew Bayley, and Rubi Cook.
In the Seniors, Beth Yates came first, with a joint entry from Jessica Howes, Kate Tomsett and Lucy Eaton-Ball in second, followed closely by Chloe Samuel in third place.
During Junior Assembly, the prizes, which were all Chinese related, were handed out by Mrs Huntington, after our Chinese students had entered wearing fantastic Lion costumes to the beat of a traditional Chinese drum, much to the delight of the children and staff. The students also took time to explain to the younger children about the customs and celebrations that make up Chinese New Year.
