YEAR 3 HOCKEY 'v' SHERBORNE PREP AT HOME - 2:00pm START - FINISH APPROXIMATELY 3:15pm.

TEAM:

Cheryl Nahar, Amy Shearlock, Emily Williams, Hannah Humphreys(c), Patrick Kampf, Joseph Stosiek, Molly Parsons,            Abigail Kinsella, Joshua Suffield.

For most of these children this was their first ever chance to play for the school.  Naturally some nerves were in evidence; but, mostly a great demonstration of eagerness was on display.  Play swung from end to end until shortly before half time Emily Williams was presented with the ball in front of the Sherborne Keeper and a lovely little reverse stick flic saw the ball lift over her opponents stick and we went into the break in the lead.

 

Sherborne really attacked in the second period and it took all of Joseph Stosiek's running power and tackling to keep them at bay.  Eventually our opponents were too strong and they won 3-1.  Nevertheless, all of our children tried really hard and gave a super team effort.  Players of the match. – Emily Williams and Joseph Stosiek.
