Year 7-9 Inter House Netball

Year 7-9 Inter House Netball 1:45-3:45

Given that these were the younger girls playing, the standard of netball was excellent.  In the opening match Livingstone saw off the much pre tournament fancied Shaftesbury to establish themselves as favourites.  In the next game clever positional selection by the Slessor sports captain saw them blow Ashley aside.  The following game saw both the previous winners pitted against each other and in an extremely close encounter Slessor emerged the winners by just 1 goal.  The same situation followed with Shaftesbury taking a 1 goal victory over Ashley.  Then having to saty on court Ashley pulled off a surprise win over Livingstone and in the final game Slessor kept their form and unbeaten record to narrowly win over Shaftesbury.

So with 3 victories Slessor are the year 7/8/9 winners.  With the over houses all having one win each it came down to goal average to sort out the final positions, which are:  Livingstone +1 for 2nd, Ashley -4 for 3rd and Shaftesbury -5 for 4th.  An extremely close tournament and well done to everyone.  Player of the tournament – Antonia Mansfield of Slessor.
