u15 Hockey

u15 Hockey 'v' King Arthur's away 4.20pm start - Retunr approximately 6.15pm.

TEAM:

Abigail Chesterman, Charlotte Gilliam, Georgia Beattie, Emily Robertson, Alice Barnett, Abigail Squires, Felicity Squires,           Jade Mullis, Hannah Law(c), Freyia Crawford, Emma Whitfield, Lucy Gifford, Samantha Pratt.

In their first league match of the season our girls found the long uncut grass conditions at Wincanton difficult and the ball would not move for them as it does on our Astro.  This resulted in a 1.0 deficit at half time even though Freyia Crawford had put several godd balls into our opponents 'D'; the grass caused Jade Mullis to slight mishit.  In the second half King Arthur's were hardly in the game and this time Jade connected but first the goalkeeper just nicked it with her stick and then it struck the upright; almost breaking the wood as there was so much power in Jade's shot.  Finally a lovely long ball from Alice Barnett and Freyia was on hand to tap it in.  Final score 1-1. - Player of the match - Freyia Crawford.
