u12&u13 Hockey

u12&u13 Hockey 'v' Bucklers Mead away 3:30pm start - Return approximately 5:00pm.

TEAM'S:

u12 - Ruth Butcher, Claudia Ball, Kate Gould, Olive Holliday, Jenny Hough, Hannah Shilvock, Matilda Tulett, Lucy Turner, Lucy Whitfield. 

Our girls' proved to be far to strong in this match, they took control from the beginning and were always in control.  By half time they had established a 4-0 lead thanks to a super hat-trick from Kate and another from Lucy Turner.  After the interval Buckler's found a second breath and although they defended magnificently compared to the first half they never look liked scoring.  Eventually continous pressure from our girls' led to another goal, this time from Ruth.  Final score 5-0 to us.  Player of the match - Kate Gould.

 

u13 - Hannah Rees, Yasmin Andrews-Urvoy, Jessica Whittick(c), Laura Coppard, Bethany Trebley, Ellen Bazley,                   Natasha Dennington, Kirby Mullis, Emily Francis, Charlotte Cartwright, Bonnie Warr, Alice Bowker, Poppy Denny-Higgins

With some girls' yet again unavailable to represent the school we had to play with less than a full team.  Those who did turn up rallied to the team spirit and gave absolutely 100%, in what proved to be an enthrallying game with both teams attacking hard.  Half time score wa 0-0, and so an extra effort was called for.  Super cover in defence from Jessicaa and Ellen allowed Yasmin to push forward and feed into our opponents 'D'.  Eventually the ball went wide to Natasha on the left drawing their defenders and a quick square ball found Bethany wide open in the middle of the 'D' and the winnin goal was scored.  So two wins in one afternoon; what a great day for The Park girls'. - Player of the match - Bethany Trebley.
