Junior Swimming Gala

Junior Swimming Gala - away Street - Return approximately 1.30pm.

This was held on Friday 27th June at the Greenbanks outdoor pool in Street.  Whilst the sky was overcast and we had a slight breeze the heated water was quite warm.  Slessor got proceedings underway with a victory in the first breaststroke race, courtesy of Charlie Houghton.  Sadly, this was to be their only win and they took the wooden spoon.  Ashley finished one place ahead with the title being contested between Shaftesbury and Livingstone.  As we started the last relay race there was only one point between these two teams with Shaftesbury just holding the lead.  Now, Livingstone pulled out all the stops and with Robbie Patterson, Harrison Hollins, Hannah Shilvock and Sangramithra Saseendran in their Medley Relay team the writing was on the wall.  Sure enough they cruised to a somewhat comfortable win and the title was 'LIVINGSTONES'!
